Bode’s Galaxy(M81) and Cigar Galaxy(M82) HaRGB
This image is of Bode’s Galaxy(M81) and Cigar Galaxy(M82). These galaxies are located in the Ursa Major constellation. The Cigar Galaxy is a Starburst Galaxy, meaning it is rapidly forming new stars, about 10 times faster than our Milky Way. These galaxies are around 11-12 million light years away from Earth. This is an HaRGB image, composed of shooting in RGB color, and using a technique called continuum subtraction to add the hydrogen alpha data.

The red jets coming out of the Cigar Galaxy is added through capturing and adding additional hydrogen alpha data, to highlight the Ha jets emitted from the galaxy.
